Packet/Shirt Pickup:Friday, July 15, 2011 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Rogers-Lakewood Park
or Saturday, July 16, 2011 from 6:30 - 7:30 a.m. at the race
NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION ACCEPTED. MUST BE 15 YEARS OLD TO PARTICIPATE AS OF DECEMBER 31, 2011.
Dry-relase, wicking shirts! If registration is in by June 30th, you will receive the new Valpo Triathlon wicking T-shirt. NEW for 2011: All particpants will receive a Valpo Triathlon sportspack!
Pre-Race Clinic:Tips from a local Ironman triathlete. The clinic will be held at Rogers-Lakewood Park on Friday, July 15 starting at 6:00 p.m.
Pre-Race Meeting:All participants must attend the pre-race meeting at 7:30 a.m. at the beach area the morning of the race.
Teams:Teams may consist of 2 or 3 members. Relay format - separate in transition area. Limit of 20 teams.
Fee:$65 Non-USAT Member
$55 USAT Member
$115 Team, plus $10.00 fee for all Non-USAT members. Please note that the Valparaiso Family YMCA has moved into it's new home located at 1201 Cumberland Crossing Dr., Valparaiso, IN 46383.
Chip Timing:The End Result. Chip timing is done with splits.
USA Triathlon:This is to be a sanctioned USA Triathlon Event. If you are not a member, you must purchase a one day single event permit. Current members must present a USA Triathlon membership card. USA Triathlon rules apply. For details, please visit www.usatriathlon.org.
Also, did you know that if you participate in the Valpo Triathlon, along with one more USAT sanctioned event this year, you will get a national ranking next spring! Click on the link above to take you to the USAT site and to get more information.
Deadline:All registrations must be in by Wednesday, July 13, 2011 or until maximum of 500 participants is reached. There is a $10.00 late fee starting on July 1st. Please note that the Valparaiso Family YMCA has moved into it's new home located at 1201 Cumberland Crossing Dr., Valparaiso, IN 46383.
Awards:Race awards will be posted as soon as the race ends. Awards and divisions are as follows*: 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each age division, with male & female and overall male & female. Age Divisions are 15 - 19, 20-24, 25-29, 30 - 34, 35 - 39, 40 - 44, 45 - 49, 50 - 54, 55 - 59, 60 - 64, 65 - 69, 70 - 74, 75+ * Age and divisions are based on what your age is as of December 31, 2010.
